On September 26th in the sleek new headquarters of Strada Education Network in Indianapolis, a group of big thinkers gathered to talk about the future of career development in higher education.
The traditional system we’ve relied upon for decades isn’t working for today’s students and institutions. Career development can no longer be seen as just another student service, the responsibility of one office that offers resume review and a job board. Instead, career development must be intentionally integrated into every aspect of the student journey, from enrollment to academics, through experiential learning and alumni services. In other words, Career needs to be Everywhere.
This topic is critical to the future of higher education and needs the attention of leaders everywhere. So on December 2nd, we’re bringing the conversation and momentum we felt in Indianapolis to our next stop -- Boston -- for the second Career Everywhere event. Sessions and activities facilitated by leading changemakers in higher education will highlight best practices for integrating career planning and exploration into admissions, student success, and lifelong learning initiatives.
If you’re a progressive higher education leader in career services, student and academic affairs, enrollment management, continuing education, or alumni relations, you do not want to miss this transformational day.
The event will be hosted on the campus of Bentley University in Waltham, MA from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, December 2nd.
If Boston isn’t convenient for you, we have Career Everywhere events planned for February 2020 in Houston and March 2020 in Los Angeles- more details coming soon!
